Finishing Grip

Here is a tool I made to hold a bow while I'm spraying a finish.

 

I rest the bow on the nails and tie it in place.

 

For drying, I just clamp one of the ends in my vice.

I can flip the bow around and get a good look at everything without worrying about fingerprints.  It does leave 4 little pin pricks in the handle, but they're covered by the leather wrap.

I've always hung mine with a peice of heavy tread or some 4 pound test fishing line.Tied a litle lose at the nock so you can stain the string spot.
