I have recently started making my own strings but am having trouble getting the serving to stay together.  The loops are looking good but the center serving starts to seperate after 75 of so arrows.  I have tried cleaning the area of wax and using liquid lox (glue) but still have the same problem.  any and all help or advice is welcome.
Thanks ahead of time.

Make sure you have your string twisted to where you need it before you serve.  Twisting can loosen or tighten your serving.

One thing you need to do for sure is wrap your serving the same direction as the twist in the string, otherwise it will unravel.

I agree with Dano. A good waxin will help hold it in place. make it tight and wrap in the same direction as you twist the string up.

Is the top whip knot the problem? Jawge

The string stretches causing your serving to loosen. I always stretch my strings before I serve them. I put a screwdriver in each loop. Stand on one of em and use the other one to lift upwards on the string. Haven't had any problems with serving getting loose since I started stretching before serving. Hope this helps. Paul<><
