Please let me know what you think.  This the first one that didn't break on me     :scared:        :help:    Thanks guys      :wavey:

68 in red oak board bow.
#43 @ 28 in draw

Looks pretty darn good!  From what I can see the left limb may be bending a bit much from center limb toward tips and could use a bit of wood off the inner third , but the right limb looks spot on!  Great job!  Matt

I am no expert but agree with what mmgrode says. Though if you want serios critique I know the more knowledgable amongst us will want a photo at full draw.

Your bow looks good so far but you shouldn't use a long string that far. I usually go out about 6" to 8" of tip movement on the long string then low brace it(about 4") to be sure everything is lined up. With a long string you don't get an accurate reading after the first few inches.

Definitely need a short string to tell.

Not only will your weight be off, but the tiller shape will also change.  It will tend to get more round in the handle area.

I agree about the short string.  Here's how I see it.  Red means stop.  Green means go.  The right limb looks nice.

Here she is with the short string.  Thanks for the pointers guys.  I realize each bow is different, but on average what do you all set your brace height at?

I set my brace at my fistmele; place your fist on the handle with your thumb extended. It is about 5 1/2" to 6" or so your arrow fletching doesn't touch the handle. Your brace height looks pretty good, maybe a bit high.

Did you flip the bow in the second picture on the tillering stick? The right limb in that pic looks like you need a little off the inner third and in the 1st pic it looks like the left limb needs a little off there. Maybe just my eyes.

Okie 1 yes I did flip it in the second pic.. sorry about that.   :knothead:

No need to apologize. It's always a good idea to look at tiller from both sides. She looks good. If you are in this for the long run you may want to get yourself a rope and pulley made. There's info on my site. Jawge

My brace height comes out to my feathers are about 1/4 from the back of my handle.
this depends on how you fletch your arrows.
