A few quick pics of a Ziricote/1095 Bowie for a customer.  Blade is 10-1/2"" x 1-3/4", overall length is 15-1/2".  5/16"+ at ricasso tapering to tip.

Wow Matt, that is some kinda nice!  Love that long sweeping blade, your Hamons are always fantastic!

I like the deep blued guard.

Don't suppose I could bug you for more pics of the handle...? I'm trying to get better at sculpting my handles so they look and feel better, plus I'm curious about the Ziricote. I've wondered about using it-how did you like working with it?  Great looking knife and thanks for sharing.

thanks all,  sure I will try and get some good handle pics tomorrow.  Working it is just about like working dark Bocote, and they very close to being the same thing.   Ive used it a few times and it makes a very tough handle.  My only issue is that Its hard to capture the figure without having it "darken" to the point you cant really see the detail etc.....

Bladepeek

What a beautiful hamon!

I too like the handle. Looks like it would really latch onto your hand without any sharp hooks to detract from the smooth lines.

a few handle shots,  real hard to pick up the figure in the wood, but will give some basic idea on shape etc.....

thanks fellas,  going to do some more of these long lean clipped Bowies.  Typically I like a shorter clip, more angular Bowie, but these long clips are very popular now.
