Thanks Guys.  I've really enjoyed making them.  I think this is more addictive than making bows.  Well, almost.  :bigsmyl:

Jeremy, It's called triflow obsidian. When held up to the light the black becomes translucent.
It's gonna make a nice little neck knife.

John, no worries.  There's still a long time until the deadline.  I just looked back at last year's emails... most were the week before, so we're already ahead of the game  :D

That blade looks like it's on fire!  I love it!

I'm getting better at drooling all the time - great looking knives y'all. I was just showing my (offer), "Gecko With A Steel Tongue", to a couple of friends today and it made me feel pretty good - 'cause I wasn't too sure I was going to get away from them with it still in my possesion - LOL.

Okay, sheaths are done.  Now I just have to sit and wait.  I've really enjoyed this project and believe I'll be doing more and more knives.  :bigsmyl:

With all the BEAUTIFUL knives showing up on here almost daily I'm getting a little embarrassed with the stone blade patch knives I'm making again this year. I'll have to make a metal blade one to trade too.   :notworthy:

here is one of two knives I am for.  I still need to put some pins in but I wanted to post it.
I didn't make the blade, it was obtained on a swap from one of our fellow Tradgangers......
The handle is Walnut with Purple heart.  I also added some Hickory you can see from the top or bottom of the handle.

Thanks Mike.  The knife is sharp.  I invested in a sharpening system about 5 years ago and couldn't be happier.  It is called the Edge Pro III  http://www.edgeproinc.com/productsapex.html
It really does the job.  Not cheap but I love it.  Works great on 2 blade broadheads also.  I use on arrow grabber while using it on broadheads.....
