My lovely wife Julie is very depressed because of some lab work that showed blood in her urine. The Family Practice Doctor did not help matters by telling her it was cancer and setting her up for a consult with a urologist. Now she is worried sick and nothing I say eases her fears. Now I know that lots of things can cause blood in the urine but she takes things said by a doctor to heart. I have told her it was probably just a bladder or kidney infection but it is not helping, she is convinced she has bladder cancer.

Please pray to "The Great One" above to ease her fears and cleans her body of any infections.

Thank you,

Danny

Killdeer

The doctor said it was cancer? She was tested for it and that is the official diagnosis? Or was this just a guess or suggestion?

If I were told I had cancer, I would worry too. But I would also consider the source, and consult another. It is hard to go forth with a trusting heart, and assume the best, but that is the first step to beating whatever it is. Worry and defeatism will hamstring the immune system.

Lead her toward enlightenment and learning, and plot a strategy for the annihilation of the source of her illness, whatever it is. Taking positive steps changes the focus from fear and sorrow to the warrior's path to victory. I am praying that the two of you will raise your fists together, and vanquish the as yet unnamed foe that has attacked. The Lord that created you will rejoice in your triumph. Be strong for each other, and bless you.

And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Outstanding advice from Killy, Danny - from this member of a family who has had much of it to deal with over the years. Attitude counts for so very much in conquering disease, especially cancer. Prayers for your wife and you and for your joint strength, in any case.

Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes.

Killdeer, you are a treasure.

No, there has been no diagnosis yet. Just a Family Practice Dr. who read the lab results from her annual physical, said, you have blood in your urine,"Do you Smoke?" Yes, "you have bladder cancer". If it was a male Dr. I would have already gone to the Naval Hospital and loured the boom on him, so to speak. Alas it is a female. Just tics me off that a DR of any gender would make a statement like that without solid evidence.

She sees the Urologist on the 2nd of May. It is hard to make her understand that she needs to be strong and think positive but I am trying to lead her on the correct path. Please continue the prayers.

Thank you my friends.

Danny I have had blood in my p also. I have kidney stones on and off for over 10 years. She may have a very small kidney stone. this Doctor should have never said what he did. Tell not to worry and wait till the Urologist has a look see. Heck I bet if I took a whiz right not I would have a trace of blood. BTW sorry for being crude but sometimes people say stupid things and I get well ya know. <><
