aim small miss small

JimB

Yes.I like the KME broadhead sharpener.

Longtoke

if its not dinged up cardboard or leather will work, if it needs a bit more i use a kme and very fine sand paper

Pat B

A ceramic tip from a sandblasting gun works well also.

If not using the KME kit I often use the DMT diamond surface. Also, a medium Arkansas stone followed by a hard Arkansas provides a good touch up. All these work for me, even though I am somewhat challenged when it comes to sharpening a broadhead.

I use 3000 grit automotive sand paper. That's works awesome to touch up any head and won't take off metal like a file.

nhbuck1, as you can see some prefer different types of edges, either file sharpened or polished, both work and have taken a lot of game. There are 2 schools of thought on the type of edge but that is another topic. I have never been able to master the freehand file and admire those that can.

Depends on the head.  I carry a ceramic crock stick of using 3 blades.  For most 2 blades, and some single bevels, the RADA wheel does a great job of in the field touchup.

Fletcher

I usually carry a small fine file and/or 600 grit DMT stone.

pdk25 X2. A friend put me on to the Rada. Does a great job, compact and easy to pack as a result. Then a few strops on the old bluejeans and I'm good to go.

Eze-lap diamond rod. Always in my pack.

A good strop is all you need for ones just riding a quiver. Strop with blue jewlers rouge - aka -- "smurf poo"

If I have used my knife in the course of a day doing camp work or what not I can just strop it back in the razor in the evening sitting around the fire.

I use a glass rod to touch up my broadheads each hunt.

X2. I have a three sided one as well for sharpening really dull double bevels.

My single bevels get a flat stone and leather strop.
