Nice looking bow David Mitchell.
When I used one I kept it higher on the upper limb like in the photo. You can also tame them down for hunting. As far as noise goes.

You're right, RedShaft.  I put a small piece of that same mounting tape on the clicker blade and depending on how much I use I can make the clicker totally quiet and only feel it in the string when it clicks.
The years accumulate on old friendships like tree rings, during which time a kind of unspoken care and loyalty accrue between men.

John, do a quick search on the Shooters forum. I have posted several pics and tips on set up there.

PM me if I can help further.

Allen, could you see if you can find that link and post it here?  I tried searching for it with no luck. I remember setting mine up with your help on that thread and I'm going back to the clicker this year and couldn't quite remember the setup. Thanks...Mike

I'm specifically looking for the limb position for the clicker. I thought I remembered a measurement down from where the string last touches the limb, but I could be way off base there. I still had my clicker with the cut down base and d loop on it, but when I mounted it I needed a much longer piece of string. It is a different bow so that could explain it, but it does look lower than I remember.

Mike, on my recurves I put the clicker 8 1/2" down from the limb tip. This is far enough down to ensure that there is no contact with the string upon release, yet high enough so that you have a fairly short clicker cord.

I did a quick search and didn't find the thread on the Shooters Forum either.
