This is a curious thing for me . What type and length of bow do you like for hunting ?

I will add , I understand the hunting situation so , let's say a tree stand and or ground blind .
I like short recurves for stand hunting but I like a longbow for still hunting .
So let's see how this plays out .
Thanks for your input .

Hard to fit my answer into your post.  I like a 56" recurve.  Your choice is over or under 56".

I typically prefer to shoot as short a bow as possible that I shoot well. Its very convenient for almost any situation you might find yourself in.Like still hunting, stalking,Thick cover on the ground, treestands with narly limbs, ground blinds etc.I like the limb clearance and maneuverability.

I have killed quite a few animals with longer bows though. So I have nothing against them.Except when the limb bumps something. That a shorter bow would have cleared.I use saws and pruners with longer bows when necessary to get total freedom of movement.

I prefer recurves however the length issue was a bit tougher. While part of me still really wants another KMag I've decided to run with the Grizzly and look for another one as well so over 56" for me - for now anyways!

52 and 60 inch hunting bows. 63 and 64 inch target bows.

Since I only have one bow and it is a 60" recurve I guess I am in the over 56" crowd. I didn't have readers on and tapped the under on the poll, so it is off by one.

I tend to just grab whatever bow my mood of the day indicates...I have a number of bows that I shoot about equally well and hunt ready...I am mostly a still hunter just because that is what I enjoy doing

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

I like 68" Hill style bows, even though I have a short draw.
