Beautiful Schulz False Cast.  John Schulz was a true artisan.

Figured I would show off my collection.  This is a rack that I bought prior to Christmas not knowing that my girlfriend was having one custom made for me.  I will get a pic of that up at some point.  For now, here's the collection.
Wonderful collection Mike. You have some really nice pieces there. I really like that bow rack too.

I love my Schulz; however, it's my only bow so I don't have any more to show off. I'm pretty content with what I have for now.

False Cast

Just one more... I hope you guys don't mind.

khardrunner

Same here. I only have my Schulz now.

So far it has been bad luck though in the woods. The only times I have not seen deer are when it has been with me. I live in an area with a decent number of deer so it's odd when I don't see deer.

Tomorrow it's going with me though for the last day of the season. See if I can break that curse.

I can't explain it but it's true; almost eerily so.

Good luck Kyle.  I think all of us can use a little positivity in our lives.  I know I sure as heck can.

I'm certainly excited.

I'll be ditching the bow quiver and donning my too small back quiver for the first time in a long while. We'll see how it goes!

OK new bow in the planing stages. What is the most classic Hill style,  riser wood,  glass color combo. Currently have bocote riser, black glass Wes. Spec. with dark brown wrap. Thinking myrtle riser with white glass???
Your thoughts??

Overspined

Myrtle or shedua.   Myrtle is tough to beat!  I'd go black glass, or black on back and white on belly.  I've seen a green glass too, but Hill Archery may not have it.

I've got another Hill style bow in the house. My Misty Dawn came today! The mailman actually delivered it. No waiting in line at the Post Office.

It wasn't a good photo day, so I'll start with a photo of the specs with it alongside my N.M. Classic:

Not the greatest photo, but I'm hoping that tomorrow is nice enough to get some nice outside photos.

I did get to shoot it some after I re-did the serving to my liking. Shoots very well, very well indeed. Put in a few nice groups while I twittled a bit with the nocking point. It sends an arrow down range at a nice clip. I ran out of daylight before I could do a comparison with the Classic. Maybe tomorrow.

Lookin' forward to the pics Chuck!

Enjoy!

Overspined,

How long have you had that TD? Any problems with that sleeve. That's the next thing on my list.

Who makes TD Hill bows other than Hill?? I think I would go that route for the other one!! Is the sleeve the only option for td Hill?

Cool Horserod.  Welcome to the institution.  We are a bunch of obsessed sickos around here, but everyone is really nice as long as they get their daily dose of Howard Hill pills    :D

All I can say right now about your first HH is give the bow a chance.  Learn the proper way to grip it and the words "hand" and "shock" will never enter the conversation about that bow.  Hill bows shoot just a smooth and calmly as anything else out there if you use proper form.  And it's not that hard to figure out the basics.  Mastering on the other hand . . . well that's another story.  The only reason you'll be disappointed is if you give up on the bow. The bow won't give up on you.  Enjoy!   Post some photos when it arrives.
