MT,  I remember reading recently about that...can't remember tho.  Looks like the same wood in the riser but I am not sure of that either.  I think a few here will know the answer.

Nice looking bows, what are the weight specs for each?  The Blackbear looks like one I use to own, 80# @ 28".

Thanks,Yep,Craig did a beautiful job on her. I was going to use ebony, but Craig didn't think it would work out so well as a limb lam.The blackwood is very nice, dark chocolate with deep purple hues that really pop out in the sunlight.I love the light/dark on Hill bows too.

Yes, that is my old bow, a real nice shooter.  I'm glad she found a good home!  Nice looking set of Hill style bows!

Yeah! Some dandy bows for sure.

MT, I like the white glass on the belly...a classy look!

Nick,  Nice trio!  You are one of the fortunate ones to own a Pete George Timberline.  Beans did you proud.

Thanks John.
And thanks for your input.

Hey Guys!!!
Back on page 579 of this thread I talked about getting the HH bug when I bought a Wesley Special off of *****. And I mentioned that I had used a safety bonus from work to order another bow from Craig Ekin. Well... yesterday- 2 weeks and 1 day after I placed the order- I heard my wife go to the door and take a package from the mailman. I didn't think much of it since I wasn't expecting anything. Anyway, a few seconds later she comes into the room where I was, carrying a long skinny box-- with my new bow!!!! I have no idea how he got it done so fast but I'm not complaining!!
Here are some pics!!
Vital Info--
4 lams of Yew + 1 lam of Bamboo
AMO-66", 60#@28"
Texas Ebony Riser and Buffalo Horn tip overlays
Silver Wolf inlay
Named it-- King Raven
BTW- The group of arrows in the target are the second group I ever shot from the bow (after a warm-up group). I shot the group from 100 yards away, of course!!!  Allright, actually it was only about 15 yards BUT I was still pleased with it!! They are Easton 2018's, 29" with 125 gr. points.

I check this thread dang near everyday just to look at everyone's bows.  The last couple days have been really good.  Nice bows everyone!!!

Craig Ekin has to have THE QUICKEST turn around on orders.  2 weeks and 1 day!  Holy crap!

Willy,Great looking bow! I put a check in the mail for my bow on May 1st,had the bow in hand May 19th!!! Flawless workmanship on it too.

JohnI

You are welcome Tony, by the way the tip overlays and riser wood is probably Shedua on your bow.

WillyOfTheHood

"Holy Crap!!" is pretty much what I said when I looked at the Return Address to see who it was from! Especially since I was getting the evil eye from the wife who thought I had ordered ANOTHER bow that she didn't know about!! I had just told her the night before that I expected it to be at least 2 more weeks before I got this bow based on what Craig's wife told me when I placed the order! Been out shooting it again today!! I am really impressed with this bow so far!!

MT Longbow

King Raven looks to be a the same make as the 2011 special edition Robin Hood. without the Robin hood stuff of course.

Nice looking bow!
