Decided to skip out on work this morning, and it just goes to show hunting is always better than work! This is my 2nd deer using traditional gear. 1st buck with a recurve and I couldn't be happier.

The shot wasn't ideal, but got the job done. No more than 8 yds, on the ground. Sat in some cedar trees on my knees! Had a suspicion there was at least one doe bedding in this area. And this time of year you gotta go where the girls are.Used a '07 Bear TD 57@28, A Riser, #1 limbs, AD lites, and a Big Jim 300 grain broadhead.

Way to go. I keep hoping that looking at all these big boys on TG some of that mojo will rub off on me. No luck so far. That is a very nice deer.
