Ok, my tab has seen it's better days. It has no hair left on it. It's a cheapy and it's thin. I'd like to get a thicker one and I want one with the finger splitter thing also. Any body have suggestions on a particular make and or model?

Take a look at the Bateman.  I shoot the 3 under, but found that it shoots better once I remove the second layer.
Super Curves.....
Covert Hunter Hex9h
Morrison Max 6 ILF
Mountain Muffler strings to keep them quiet
Shoot as much weight as you can with accuracy

I have the Bateman with finger splitter and one without for 3-under. I love that cordovan. It just doesn't wear out and is slicker than a snake oil salesman. I trimmed mine WAY back so it is just long enough to cover the joint of my fingers and I've never had cleaner releases.

I have found nothing works better than the Saunders Pak-Tab. This tab is broke in out of the box, impervious to moisture, does not hold scent like a leather tab, and lasts for thousands and thousands of shots!

Try one. You will likely not be disappointed!

I used to like the Wilson cordovan tab a lot when Black Widow made them years ago.  Can't find mine old one.  Put it in one of those safe places when things get lost I guess. Now I use a Fivics cordovan tab as its replacement.  They make many, but the one I like has a leather palm plate shaped similar to the Wilson tab.  Trimmed the fingers a bit and also use an old Bear powder patch with baby powder in it and wow, is it slick. The one with the leather palm plate is about $27. Their others have an aluminum plate but I do not like them.

I know it's not the most popular tab for trad archers, but I'm actually really enjoying the Cavelier Elite tab

I'm also a fan of the Bateman cordovan with the finger spacer.

I always favored a 3 under tab made from a single layer of cordovan. When this style became unavailable I started looking for material to make my own. Could not find cordovan but I did find a leather called Horween Chromexzal in 5 - 6 Oz. thickness. I just traced an old tab and cut it out ,,,, best and most comfortable tab I ever owned. And for $13 I got a 10 X 6" piece ( enough for 6 tabs ).

Try a bunch of different tabs, find what you like, then copy it. Or combine the features you like into a custom job. Easiest leather project you'll ever do. Saves $ and gets you the best fit for YOU. All it takes is some different weights of leather, a razor knife, a punch, thread and needles.
