Ok. I dont if it has been tried or not but could you use a house paint, once properly thinned to crown dip arrows? I'm thinking about redoing the home made wraps on my arrows and going back to paint. Follow it up with a super lack finish and go. Thoughts?

It may work these days. I tried it many years ago. Even thinned it went on heavy. It may have been the wrong time to dip as well for my area as paint never really dried. Maybe needed a drier added. I called it an experiment gone bad. Of course in those days we had no social media to gather info from. Maybe someone has had better luck.

I have dipped arrows with oil base house paints thinned down. Arrows looked good. I have never tried latex paint. I think oil base paint would hold up better in the long run.

I forgot to mention I tried Latex paint. Was living in an apartment at that time and no smell was a consideration.

I've used water based acrylic paint to crown dip arrows with good results. Also Krylon spray paint.
