Fall is absolutely beautiful here and is definitely my favorite few months of the year. The fall colors are about gone now but snapped these two pics from the stand last night. These two shots are on either side of my stand position. I was sitting on an old wire cattle fence with a strategically placed gap in it the deer use. The soybean field to my right and the white oak tree was on the left as the stand sits.

My platform is about 8' off the ground. I like them as low as I can get away with. The maple tree I am in had me very covered up when I hung this one 10 or so days ago. Showed up last night and the wind we had the night before had blown down all my leaf cover. Had three deer come through and never noticed me but I didn't draw on them either.

This is my north wind ground blind.  The deer aren't always in range, but it has provided a buck and a doe.

This is one of my favorite stands on my 9 acres.  Half of the deer thru this property walk within range of this stand.

Awesome Pics Tom. Thanks for posting guys. The ambiance of fall is what makes it so easy to sit even when your not seeing deer. Will see if I can't find some of mine.

This is from my stand back in September overlooking an elk wallow.  Killed my bull a short time later!

Here's one from my favorite stand ("Cedar Fence"). The bow is a 1999 Habu Mamisha - 1st LH 1-piece bow Chris made.

Here's a picture of my "Walnut Creek" stand. This is a pan picture. The largest buck I've ever seen with a curve in hand was just left of my hanging bow on that trail (about 6 yards -- 9 minutes before legal shooting time - it was still so dark I wasn't tempted).

Bowwild

Here's a picture of a 7-point that was with a 3-point. They walked first under my stand less than 6 yards. Then this fellow went back and stopped. That's an FMJ Injexion in the foreground.

This is my cedar fence stand.

Do not follow where the path may lead.  Go, instead, where there is no path and leave a trail.

I was praying for a buck to walk down this rocky ridge a few nights ago.  He never came but my heart was filled with the beauty of the sun setting on the fall foliage.

The day before a 4 point chased a doe and her fawn past me at right here...
