I was happy to get home  Monday and find my new bow had been delivered. It is 56" with an eleven inch riser. Fifty four lbs at twenty eight inches.
I got it dialed in today and I am very impressed.

It shoots wood and carbons very nicely

.

Kent did an Awesome job

Love the woods.  Ive never shot one.  Try as I might, I cant get used to the looks of the riser.  Seems a little blocky.  How does it balance??  Looks like the mass would be beneficial.  Groups look great!

Great looking bow. Kent builds a great bow. I got to shoot one at Bear Quest 7. I believe it was Kent's bow that he built for himself. It was a great feeling little bow. When I first saw a photo of one, I did'nt think I liked the looks of the riser either, however in person they are very nice. They are much smaller than they appear in photos, and they feel reeealy nice!

great looking bow, is it cocobolo?
Everything I have and have become is due to the Lord and his great mercy.

Cool looking bow. Nice shooting also.
Someday you'll regret the things you didn't do.

Do the static recurve limbs and longbow limbs interchange on the same riser?

Fattony77

I'm pretty sure that they do, but I'll ask Kent when I see him later today.   :bigsmyl:

Picking yours up?

Fattony77

Yep.  :D  it's a one piece "Smoke" model that I have a pretty good story about detailing Kent's outstanding customer service. I'll be posting it in the next couple of days.

In the meantime, glenbo, that is a gorgeous bow!

Kent builds a beautiful bow and to top it off he's a great guy. I had the good fortune to spend a week in bear camp with him last spring. As Ed "Bruinman" Guthro said, Kent had a few of his creations in bear camp. I shoot in the 50 pound range with my 30" draw so I didn't shoot any of the bows he had in camp. They were in the 60 plus pound range at my draw. Everyone that did was astonished by how smooth, fast and silent they were.

It is Cocobolo and phenolic. As far as being blocky, it is anything but. Sleek and slender in the hand. I have always wanted a 3piece longbow for travel . This bow suits my needs.

I am used to shooting slower bows so this one shoots very flat for me. Dead in the hand at release and quiet with a pair of hush puppies.  Kent has been a pleasure to deal with, but I expect that from T G sponsors.

Any pics of the limb tips?

glenbo

No pics Keith but they are flawless.
