AS many of you that watched my deer hunt follow along video, coyotes took that deer from me.
Well yesterday was my last day i will be able to hunt deer this season due to other obligations. So i hunted hard the last 2 days on stand all day each day. saw a bunch of deer and even had 4 does walk by me at 3 yards but never offered a shot as they walked in from behind me, then under my stand and straight away never giving me a shot. So on the way out of the woods on the way home with my season behind me i was driving a snow covered back road and a doe jumped out and i hit her. I stopped and looked no real damage to my truck other than a little plastic piece broke off my bumper and a push pin pulled out of the plastic valance under the bumper. very minimal damage and easy to fix myself. I gutted the big doe. called the police to get my road kill permit. thru her in the back of the truck and gonna eat well.
My wife said "See mother nature took a deer from you and then she gave you one back. Balance is restored and all is good".
Cant argue with that logic!!

i had that happen once too. hunted all weekend and didn't even SEE a deer. pulled out of camp on Sunday evening, and a doe jumped out from behind a mailbox, and i smacked her!

drove back to camp, skinned her out, and threw her in the cooler.

my buddies have laughed at me for that for years, but i got the last laugh, because i sure ate well, haha! they asked me if she had a brand marked "F.O.R.D."

A friend of mine hit a buck with his old clunker and it knocked the "i" out of the word "BUiCK" on the front of the hood. Only damage he could find.

People thought it was funny when they seen BU CK on the front... but he thought it was appropriate!

Congrats on the meat.
