Would make for good bear bait too.  Don't think I have ever seen PB offered in my neck of the woods though.

I thought about using Krispy Kreme's but I think I would have ate them all before the other pigs got there.

Not many things in the wild that don't like peanut butter.

Not many things in the city that don't like peanut butter either    as I eat my PB&J breakfast tortilla.

The issue if have with this is you get 55 gallons of peanut butter for $75 and I buy peanut butter for $7 a pint.

I knew it was as high as a giraffe's a$$.    this just confirmed it... you pay for what you like though.

Good luck Jim. I saw those 55 gallon drums of PB for sale some time back. I use peanut butter as a treat just before I have a hunter going out as a treat. It REALLY gets them fired up. Let me know how your lights work out. You will love the red lights.

I've had good luck with a red Sniper Hog light (very bright) on my bow.  If they are startled & run off from the light, I just keep my light on the target area (ie...Peanut Butter in your case) and most of the time they will come back.  The bigger the group the better it has worked for me.  I'll be back in Aiken right after Xmas.  Our lease is down toward Charleston.  Very convenient as I can fly fish for redfish during the day and hog hunt late afternoon.  Dang this retirement is OK     tippit

I'm sure pigs won't magically apear where they have never been....well probably not. But if they are near, they will be here.

Before I had ever set foot on this property of about 1200 acres, my friend "Preacher" had told me of pig rubs on trees nearly waist high. I called him out on that as he is about the same height as me. I asked him if it was alright for preachers to fib.

Then I saw it for myself. He invited me in for a morning hunt back in January. On the way to our scheduled meeting spot I was following a dirt road  with some fresh tracks in the mud when I crossed a set of pig tracks that were absolutely amazing. The tracks were nearly as big as a softball. I was awe struck...or dumbstruck over there size. Later, we found some of the mud rubs Preacher had spoke of. I stood next to one and the top of the mud on the tree was 3"s below my belt and I am 6'3" barefoot or is it bear foot.
WE later god trail camera pictures off a feeder site of 12 pigs and not more than two were under 200lbs.

The neighboring farmer had a night hunting company (infared night scopes and gear) come in and in 2 months they took nearly 400 pigs yet we haven't seen any decline in there activity.

Gonna be a good winter!
