I have been a little annoyed with how busy I have been between working, school and other things this year. I  probably got out between 15- 18 times this year. Not whole days, but still got out. I know that is pretty good, but I'm still feeling like it should have been more. Help me out here and let's here how much you have been out. Thanks.

A lot of it depends on work load and family obligations.  This has been a pretty good season so far.  I have hunted all or part of 19 days.  Our bow season runs through December, so I will get a little more hunting in.

Well, let me get to counting.
Between this year (zero) plus last year (zero ) that equals zero in two years.

Those numbers are respective of actually getting out with the sole intention of hunting and harvesting.x

I take my 4 and two year old in the woods with me alot and if a deer is silly enough to let me get close enough ill shoot them,
Mostly its just planting the seed in my children by stumping and small game huntigg

I'm very fortunate to get 5 weeks of paid vacation every year & I take it ALL during hunting season!!!!! I've been "off" every other week, since the begining of Oct.  :bigsmyl:

(I've spent 22 days in the woods so far...)

However, That being said..... Working 6-7 days a week, 2-4 double shifts a week, sometimes going a month or so without a day off.....

It makes for a LONG year!!!!!!!!!!   :deadhorse:
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

Not enough anymore
Just bought a much larger home with lots of projects
Add a 55 hr a week job and it doesnt leave much time
But ive learned lately that its quality more than quantity.

I work various shifts and days of the week so don't get out as much as I'd like.  :(
That and a VERY busy 12 year old daughter...

I typically hunt every weekend in Nov.  October I'll usually hunt 3 out of the 4 weekends.  I take nearly all of December off (shotgun season here), then January I'll typically hunt 2 weekends.  My wife is really good about it, but the rest of the year I have to be really attentive to the things she needs done.

being self employed I get no paid vacation days.  But I live to bow hunt so I take two weeks off in the fall. One in Colo's elk season.  then another in Oct for an out of state white tail hunt. plus weekends all told about 20 days..

Being self employed, and this is my slow time of year, I get out five days a week, sometimes both AM and PM. Our season started Sept 16 - Dec 31. And I need every day I can get. We get four tags, and I still have four left.    :banghead:

Been working 6 days a week since August just trying to survive, so for the first time in 30 years I have completely missed the Pa. archery season. Oh well, there's still the late season and small game right?
We are all here because we are not all there.

So far i've been out tweleve days including 1/2 days hunts. Our season opened october 1st and closes December 31st so it looks like i'll get a few more days to hopefully score.

We have a long archery season in Maryland.  I usually a 1 or 2 day a week early season after work and most Saturdays.  We can also hunt a lot of Sundays.  By the end of Jan wen our season ends I have had more than enough days afield.

Between work and two teenage daughters I still manage to get out once or twice on most weekends,  season opened October 1st. Hoping to continue until the end January 1st, unless I tag out (2) before that.

I need to find a spot closer to work or home...

Somewhere between 30 and forty days, if you count half days as a day  :) .
Hunt every weekend, almost, got a saint for a wife!
hunt about 9 days for vacation in November, save the rest of my vacation days for the Saint (mentioned above).
They shut us down for a full week over Christmas and New years, so I hunt most of those.
Whoops, left out turkey season in the Spring, add 12 more days.
I think I may have to buy the Saint a new halo for Christmas  :)

Thanks for helping me keep perspective. I know I'm pretty lucky, but just wasn't recognizing it.  For you guys trying to plant the outdoor seed with your kids, keep it up. I try to do the same. For you guys struggling to work and make a living, I feel your pain. Making a living isn't what it used to be in this country. Nuff said. Happy Thanksgiving.

Self employed also which a lot of people think you do what you want when you want. To mean it means responsibility to my customers to get their job done on time and also long hours to do the work, bids and paperwork.
That being said I have had about 10 - 12 full days to hunt and about 12-15 evening hunts of a couple hours each. Had 1 weekend hunt with one of my sons and that was a great time

3-4 days a week. Working shift work gives me a lot of time off.
I love Bow Hunting

Not much at all, some weekends in October but now its work 7 days a week. I'm a self employed (means do it yourself) Electrician . Most of my work is at a ski/golf resort in NW lower MI so a lot of work is scheduled for the dead times when neither is happening AKA fall & spring. The fall projects are winding down so I'm hopefull for some late season time in the woods.

I work 45-50 hrs a week but get to hunt at least 3-4 sits a week.RC
