The past couple of years my daughters have gotten into the habit of making me a good luck bracelet as the season rolls around.  Its there little way of being there on some of the adventures. We spend a lot of time together in the woods and I love to see there enthusiasm, always rooting daddy on to bring home a deer. I really  look forward to seeing what they'll come up with, and what hunter doesn't need some luck. Well this morning at 7:45 there lucky bracelet is paying off.

I had this young fella come into work over a licking branch and ended up almost too close, a 3yd shot.  Thats the closest I've ever been to an animal I've shot, I could see every detail on him, almost touch him.  A Magnus 1 on a CX shaft out a Striker bow did its job.  I'll let pics tell the rest of the story.

Congrats! Do your girls make lucky bracelets for other people, too? I could use one on my deer hunts to be sure.

Hey buddy thats great! Great NY deer he will be tasty! Random question how did the Skyline Camo work? You said 3yd shot so must be good  :)  My Uncle gave me some of his Skyline and ive only wore it once. Im partial to Mossy Oak  :D  but like the look of the Skyline.
