Well as most ppl know it was a slow year in Maine for bear hunters. lot of natural food kept the baits slow. Saw this bear the last evening of the hunt. Took out both lungs and the heart with a Snuffer sent from my Big River longbow and needless to say it was a short tracking job. Had a great time with Phil Allen new owner of Hunters Point guide service.

Great bear. "Slow year in Maine for bear hunters" is right. But a great year for acorns. Congrat's.

Very nice bear! I missed a good one back in 2001 on the last day of my hunt at 15 yards.. Hit a twig I didn't see. I hope to go back one day and redeem myself.
