My new Lynn Harrelson Kolomi Straight longbow made it home today! It is Osage/Osage with ebony back over lay and buffalo horn tips. The bow is 68", 45# @ 29" and light in the hand. I just love it!!      :bigsmyl:

I just wanted to add that Lynn was an exceptional great person to deal with! He told me that the Osage used in my bow came from a very very old tree (300-400yrs old) from a plantation down in Montgomery, AL that was hit by lightning over ten years ago. He is almost out of his supply from that tree and I'm am glad to have a piece of something so old.

In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

Lynn is a great guy to know and do bussiness with.
I have two of his Kolomis, one for me and one for my son.  I think our bows are related, from the same tree.  Both mine are a bit different than his regular bows, no shelf.  My son and I are both knuckle draggers!  they are the monly ones I know that he made that way.
Sweet shooters.  I know you will enjoy yours as much as we enjoy ours!

I love Osage!!

Put some decals on it while it's yellow then allow the sun to do its part then when you remove the decal it's permanently marked.

God bless,Mudd

Thanks Matt. I have found that if I don't think about the bow, my form or the arrow; and just burn a hole in my target, my accuracy is a lot better. It works pretty good for me.   :)

Lynn truly is a great guy to deal with. I used to buy arrows from him till he sold the arrow portion of his business. My Kolomi has a core of Persimmon with back and belly in Bamboo. Your osage bow really looks nice, and I know you will enjoy it - I sure like my Kolomi.
Sam

Osage is a beautiful bow wood, esp after it ages and darkens up.

Congrats on your new stick!
