I had beginners luck. I killed a spring gobbler and a nice buck, both in my second year of trad hunting. That was four years ago and I haven't killed anything since. You guys/gals who're waiting on your first harvest, hang in there! I'm so amazed at people like Wannabe1 and Ron w. Your patience and persistence is admirable. I wish you all the best of luck this year and in future years. Your commitment stick & string is a difficult endeavor, but it will make your future success all the more sweet!

Thanks Dennis! I could easily go rifle hunt and better my chances but, I refuse to get my first the easy way. I want it to be earned and I will stick with it 'til it happens. I'm doing some different methods this year and devoting more to it so, here's hoping.

Glad you're back in the saddle, Wannabe1. Good luck, sir and way to go-keeping the faith.

Killed 83 with a compound, but I am going to a recurve for the first time this year. Should be interesting.
