I have a Holm Made Osprey longbow 50 pounds at 28 inches, I am drawing it at 45 pounds at 27 inches, left handed.My question is in the Easton axis trad arrow at 29 inches with around a 200 grain point . What arrow would tune better ? The 600 or the 500 ? Thanks for the help.

Don,  You'll get better answers over on the Pow wow.  But I'd start with 500s and see what I could do.

Sorry but I wholeheartedly disagree, unless want to shoot a real long arrow with a lot of weight. A .600 spine cut to 28.5"s and at least 175 grains of point weight will get ya close, ya may need a bit more point weight. Maybe as much as 225 but somewhere between those two amounts. I base this on knowledge of the bow and 16 years of experimenting with hundreds of bows and different carbons. I have shot most of the customs out there. Holm  bows are performers, but at that weight and your draw .600 will be fine. Pm me and I will send ya one that is 29.5"s with 175 grains of point weight and you can try it, it maybe perfect for you. If not cut it to 28.5" and re-install brass insert and put 125 grain point on it and try again!PM me! If ya shoot the Axis at 29"s in .600 you may get away with 175 cut it to 28.5"s and the 200 should be good. Shawn

For once Shawn and I agree. LOL. The 600 spine at 29" with 200 grains in point weight should be pretty close. If you were pulling the full 50# at 28" then I would move up to the 500 spine. I will admit though I usually can get a stiffer arrow to tune than a lot of people so try a 500 as well but don't cut it down until you are absolutely sure that it is too weak.

I agree with 600 and then moving up. BUT, for what it is worth, USE HEAVY INSERTS and moderate broadheads. That heavy hidden insert just subdues a carbon arrow. 3Rivers has a good selection and they are more than skilled at helping you out. I'd call them first.
