I am in the process of buying a kodiak magnum recurve off a member from the forum. It is a 50lbs 52" bow and it will be my first recurve.  I need some help for choosing some arrows for it.  I hope to shoot it all year and next fall do some deer hunting with it.  I currently shoot a 60lbs mathews with a 27" draw length.  I do shoot fingers tho so it should make the transition easier.  Any help is appreciated.

With that set-up,I think you could use carbon express 150 with a lighter tip,or go with 250 with a heavier tip. I've left mine full length which are the 250 with a 175 gr tip. They come 32.75 and  I pull 29.5 and my bow is 55 at my draw.  You might be better with the 150 because you will have to cut them down some and that will stiffen them quite a bit.

Welcome.  What part of Indiana are you from?

BrentB

I'm from east central Indiana, but i'm going to college around Lima Ohio(northwest ohio).  I go home when I can, but I mainly stay in Ohio.  I hunt in both states.

Where do you guys normally buy your arrows from? I plan on just buying shafts since I have a fletcher.
