I was watching an alaskan show where a cow was kicking the crap out of all the other cows. Plenty of food, just a nasty cow.
It got me remebering fondly a post I put on here a long time ago about a doe I saw on the side of the highway feeding with several others. There was a flock of pigeons also and this one doe stomped a pigeon to death right there. It was wild to see.
I've also seen does face and run after foxes and turkeys here. Anyone else see any cool experiences of ill tempered deer?
Not including rut enraged bucks...that is to be expected. Unless its a really cool story that is....

I've seen sour does all the time. They lay their ears back at each other and rare up and kick at each other.

i seen one walking behind a cat with its nose about 2 feet behind..i could see them for a couple hundred yards an the cat never looked back an doe just stayed a couple feet behind.
but i never seen the doe do anything aggressive..   :dunno:
i have seen them strike other does while feeding but i think about every animal has that when another gets to close..

I watched a mama kick a button buck right in the skull. Sounded like a coconut was dropped on the pavement, LOL!
Just one more step please!

Some dude with a stick and string chasing things.

I've observed the "kick-boxing" does that Alex describes on more than one occasion. It's usually more show than malice, but the sound of a hoof landing cleanly on skull is something that'll make you wince!

I recently saw two does facing each other on their hind legs and beating the snot out of one another with their front legs.  Looked like a deer cat fight.

A buddy and I were at opposite ends of a small winter wheat field. 8 or so doe entered the field on his side. After some almost close enough moments for both of us he shot right right over the back of a large doe. They spook a bit and head to my end. Before I got a shot the lead doe and the one that had been shot at got in the best boxing match I ever saw!  :D

This went on awhile and moved the group back toward my buddy. His second shot hit the mark.
This stuff ain't no rocket surgery science!

I've seen does dominate a feeding site in my back yard, keeping others at bay.   I've also watched as twin fawns trying to feed, with momma bucking and kicking trying to get away.

I was stalking a group of pigs about 4 years ago.  I was paralleling them as they moved down a road into a clearing.  I reached the clearing before the pigs and was preparing to shoot when I saw doe also in the clearing. The doe kept watching me, and the pigs that were getting closer.

A baby pig got ahead of the pack and spotted the doe.  The doe lost interest in me but slowly approached the piglet.  The piglet did the same to the doe.

Just about the time the little baby pig and the doe were nose to nose, the doe laid her ears back and clobbered the piss out of the little pig.  Pig squealed and took off along with the rest of them.  I had to sit down cause i was laughing so hard!

Several years ago I watched a mule deer doe chase down a mature coyote in about 8" of snow and stomp the crap of him.  She put him on his back stomping on him 3 times before he got the message and cleared out as fast as he could.

Cool series running on the Nat Geo Channel right now entitled, "Caught in the Act", or something like that. It's got some pretty unique wildlife footage.

Watched a lioness kill a cheetah last night.

Years ago, I was hunting in Mason, Texas.  I was in a large tree (rare on this ranch) in a permanent stand placed on the edge of a field.   I could see quite a ways.  I noticed a group of deer maybe 8 does coming out into the field along the edge and began to feed.  The last doe that came into the group was old.  I was surprised when these younger does began beating down the old doe.  I mean all of them ganged up on her and literally beat her down and out of the group.  She limped down the fenceline and at 12 yrds I shot her.  The doe was very old, few teeth left, and lots of scars.  It felt like a mercy killing after watching the old lady being "beat" out of the herd.  It was one of the most aggressive attacks I have ever seen whitetail does do.

Years ago seen a coyote try to get a large blacktail doe. Coyote had the deer buy the neck for a few seconds . That doe tried to make hambuger out of that coyote. She was on top of it stomping it into the dirt.Coyote got up running with the doe in persute.

While working on a broken irrigation pipe at a golf course I worked on,I saw a doe spot a domestic cat cross a fairway appox. 100 yds away. She picked her head up from eating and chased the cat under the deck of a hose. She then went back and forth tying to figure out if she could find a way to get under to get the cat.It was quite entertaining.
Also,a friends not so smart Boxer dog got launched by a big buck last year.Stupid dog went back for more and nearly could have been killed.Dog amazingly wasnt injured.

A doe put my dog to flight, twice, one spring while I was ouyt mowing. I did not see a fawn, but assume one was close by. Bambi aint as kind and loving as Walt Disney, and the bunny huggers let on.
its me, against me.

I have had a doe charge my turkey decoys before. Pretty amusing...

I watched a large group of does and fawns (~20 total)feed into a field in early season.  A fawn tried to nurse off more than one doe.  A mature doe beat the devil out of that fawn after it tried to nurse from it.  The fawn ran off bleating its head off.  For a moment, I wanted to shoot the doe for kicking the snot out of that fawn! I tend to root for the underdog!  I decided I did not want to anger the doe!

I watched a couple of does come in one year with two very small spikes in tow.  One doe appeared to be in season and the two spikes were hot to trot on her tail. She would turn and box which ever one was trying to get a sniff.  It was like watching 2 sixteen year olds chase a grown woman.  The group entertained me for 30 minutes or so.

I watched 4 or 5 does with their young's feed up a draw then disappear over a rise. I'd saw a coyote in the area earlier and he appeared out of the brush and went toddling up the same trail as the deer had gone. Wasn't long I heard a yip and here come the coyote hauling butt and one of those does hot on his heels. That coyote picked on more than he bargained for methinks.
While I was sitting there, I'm above a tank (waterhole around here :-) ) , there's one hackberry tree on the edge, an owl flew into the tree and settled in. In a bit, 4 or 5 crows landed in the tree. All was cool for a little while then the dangest ruckus, feathers flying, bunch of racket. The owl went one way, the crows another. One fun morning!!

Rufus,

Did you have to wash any bird doo from your camo???

I would think more than feathers were flying from those birds in a roustabout like that!     :scared:
