I was working on the west side of Michigan yesterday, and I scheduled a little time to visit with Fred and Teresa. I like to do this once in awhile (not enough though) and there are 2 consistent things that happen....1) I spend a couple of hours in Freds office in a comfortable rocking chair. I just shut up and absorb information for the most part. The thing about Fred though, he genuinely wants to hear your opinions. "What do you think about this arrow straightener? I use it like this...what do you do?".

2)Teresa will feed us something awesome. Yesterday it was an incredible thick, cheesy venison soup. Awesome. Which isn't to say Teresa just cooks. She is flying around that house and workshop like something I have never seen. I get tired just watching her. She is an amazing and kind person.

So anyway...yesterday had an added highlight. She had these 2 patterns, new, not in production yet. She has some names in mind, but I don't think they are etched in stone. Fred and I messed with them in different shaded areas of the yard, these pictures don't do them justice. I am kicking myself for not bringing along my camera. They are both great patterns, I'm looking forward to them coming out this fall!

That's the problem with Teresa's wool.  Just when I think I have absolutely everything I need from her she comes out with something like this.

I love them both, no matter what name they end up with!!    Might have to expand my wardrobe yet again....

Great, just what I need 2 more colors that look perfect. I'll have to get a bigger size so I can wear 2 at the same time!

I sure like that first pattern. It should be called "arboreal fadeout".

I got the new zippered jacket from Teresa at
Denton hill. Well made, cant wait to use it
this season.

Killdeer

I like that first one too.
I would call it "Sun Dapples".

I really like a shadow plaid like that, though I do enjoy being a Buffalo Gal here and there.

Do they have one called "Eclipse" yet?

They are both nice patterns. I like the fade pattern of the first.  Looks like it would blend in nice in an open ash stand.  And the colors on the second pattern are great.

I like them both, is it the good heavy stuff?

Yep, nice and thick. I THINK it is considered 22 oz wool, but I am not positive.

Yep, I'm hoping Teresa brings those new patterns to Alabama for the Pre-Spring Arrow Fling in February.  I have no doubt that she'll sell out!!!

I have been using 'Evening Stand Brown" but I really  like the new "Cedar Swamp" plaid in a zip jacket its a great color for my terrain here in Northern Michigan!

I like that second pattern.

Roger, do the Asbells sell this stuff out of there home, too? I'm only about 10-15 minutes from them...

Awesome pattern, would love to have a set of bibs made in that or even a poncho wrap.
