Does it matter adapter i use? I'd like to make them compatible with my carbons.  

Wouldbe nice if the finished product was 125-150 gr and close to 1.5" wide.  I know it will be closer to 175 and that might work as well.

You'll want 11/32" adapters for most heads, but beyond that just pick the style and weight that works best for you.

I only use short adapters when weight or bleeders require it, if you can get a long adapter to work for you they are generally preferred.
