I was just wondering if you have your name put on a custom bow when you order one. I have 2 that I have ordered in the past with my name on them. Does this cause a problem when selling the bow. I have one ordered and need to let the bowyer know in the next few days. Thanks

I think its a matter of choice. I would by a bow with anothers name on it and add mine to it,kinda creates a documented history of it over time and owners.

difference in the world, but the Marines don't have that problem.

No name on something I will get rid of later...

Easier to sell with no name.

I don't have my name on any of my bows but I have a used JD Berry Yaweh with the original owners name on it. Its kind of weird using someone elses bow, but its kind of neat too. I wonder who he was every time I go out with it. Was he a good hunter? Would he like it that his bow was my therapy bow after my lung surgery? I think he probably would. Maybe I should have my name added under his.

Ordered some with and some without.  Selling with name has not been a problem. Buying with another's name-no problem.

i have lots of bows with other names on em,one had shot two caribou and two elk, good mojo in my book.

Personally I do not care if a name has someone else's name on it and I have never noticed a bow with a name shoots any differently.

I get my name on them but then when I buy I also plan to keep them. Some day they will get handed down to younger family.

If I bought used then I would prefer no name but not sure it would stop the deal if it did have another name on it. So far only bought one used and had no name on it.

I do like the idea of adding your name if it already has a name on it.

This is exactly what I think.Being a collector is very nice to know how many people handled a bow!

I always put my name or something personal on it.
As far as buying a bow with someone else's name on it...I LOVE it! Love to find out the stories behind the bow, and it gives me someone to search for.
Its not about the money when it comes to TRAD. Its about the adventures. Put your name on the bow and be PROUD! Someone will want to know your story!

Thanks for the input. Talked to Brian few minutes ago and he is putting my name on it. Plan on keeping it. Didn't know it at the time but said it was same woods in riser and limbs as Barry Wensels. Can't wait to get it.  Thanks

having someones name on a bow for sale i wouldn't blink an eye.i don't understand why it would bother anyone..

I've started just putting my initials. You can always come up for a clever acronym for 2 or 3 initials!

I sold a few bows over the years and interesting enough met two guys so far at bow events that actually had a bow with my name on it. Kind of neat.

The way I usually shoot my name should have been  Walter Thomas Franklin. That way your approach would work perfectly for me!   :goldtooth:

If i see a bow i like and want to buy. It wouldn't make any difference if there was a name on it.
