Just how well does it bled in. I am wanting the evening stand green really badly.
But does anyone have pics of their asbell wool "In the fields?"
Curious to see how well it hides.

I'm in there, wearing evening stand green....

Do a search, you should find several threads. Short answer, yes it blends in very well.

I just got the olive drab back in mid oct, The following weekend put the sneak on a spike buck and got him, he never saw me or even knew I was around! Now that was a solid color pull over on! sorry no pics as I had dropped my camera in the swamp andit was destroyed before I even got to use it!!!

Its good stuff. I had two does at 10 yards look right at me last Saturday and never knew I was there.

I don't have evening stand green, but brown.  I had a forkhorn walk up to 7 feet from me yesterday and didn't have a clue I was around.  I does a great job of breaking up your outline.

How cold will these effectively keep you warm? I am not from one of the colder states, but do have a hunt in the northern part of my state that might get to the 30's. Will this work with a light sweater under or long sleeve T under?

Mine blends really well.  I have shot four or five deer while in it the past couple years, some from the ground.  I typically wear it over a light, slick "silk-weight" shirt (Army issue stuff) if it's just moderatly cool.  If it's cold, I wear it over a wool long sleeve.  If it's retarded cold, I wear a wool vest also.  If you start layering it up real thick like that, it will get tight.  Order a larger size if you plan to layer up.

I wore mine in cold weather (20's & 30's) last week and was warmer than I have ever been. I used a lot of layers with it but it was the first time I have been comfortable sitting sun up to sun down in those temps.

I have a sleeveless hoodie in "Highlander Plaid #6" and a full hoodie in "Shadow Plaid." They're great. And the Asbell's specifically select their plaid patterns for a large, break-up effect.

I've been wearing it, both with and without layers since around the middle of October here in Minnesota.  It's very warm, particularly for an unlined coat.  I expect I will wear down to around 10 degrees, then I may have to go with something heavier.

Look, or try to look at centaur, can it be better than that!!

Got my Piney Woods Plaid in today.  It is well-made and sure to be very warm.  We were around 80 degrees today, so I'll have to wait for this week's cold front to move in before I can try it out.  I think it will blend in well.

I just got my Evening Stand Green and I am very impressed. Haven't taken it off yet my wife is threatening to steal it! She will have to get her own!

The green is perfect for a pine tree background. I bought one big enough that I can wear my saftey vest under it. Great product and great value

I got to try mine out finally on a brief SD mulie hunt.  I didn't fare well for deer (it was gun season), but I had a coyote walk right past me at 20 yards while I was on the ground, standing up against a smaller pine tree.  Of course, I went and missed it, but that is another story.  It actually stopped, looked at me, then turned around to look for its pal which was 50 yards behind.  The pal saw me and boogied when it saw me raise my bow to shoot.

Man it is windy in SD this time of year.  The wool was actualy way better than I expected.  I wore a wind shirt underneath it and a few lighter pieces.  Each day started in the low 20's and it was plenty warm on stand.  I threw a handwarmer packet in each pocket and that worked wel too.

And. . .  I looked good !  Now, If I can meet any equally good looking ladies wandering the canyons of SD wearing Teresa's wool . . . !

How long did it take to arrive after order if the piece you ordered was in stock?

Centaur,

I liked your pullover so much I had my wife order one for me for Christmas and everyone is absolutely right about Teresa! I called her to check an order my wife put in for a Haversack back in Oct. and Mrs.Asbell and I talked for about 15 mins. about my order her New patterns that are listed on her Sponser page and the weather here in Md. She even asked me if I new Tom Parsons here in Md..I have seen him at a Banquet but he wouldn't know me but what a delightful, caring, sweet lady who is like a Grandma trying to sew pullovers, vests, bowsocks and tons of other Traditional gear to cover her little boys from cathin cold...I now see why she is everyones favorite...God Bless you Mrs. Asbell...  :archer:    :clapper:
