Here is my new 52" recurve it is a 47#@28  stripped ebony riser back glass limbs bamboo core. The bow is super smooth and fast.

The quality of the finish is 9/10 some minor paint drop on the hand section (can I sand them away or whould that tear up the finish?)

but I am in love ....

Gorgeous...I love the dark woods in that riser.  Just recently got a Toelke Whip and all I can say is it's the finest longbow I've owned.  I've shot a friends recurve and you're going to really enjoy this bow.  Have fun!

Very nice lines in that bow Jacob! I have a Whip coming next week. Really looking forward to getting acquainted with it. I love the flat spot on the grip where the meaty part of the lower thumb comes in contact with the riser.

I like it,great choice in woods.

You could call Dan and ask him about the drops. Might be epoxy over spray that you could sand off and rub out to match surrounding finish.

Sweet recurve right there! Congrats!

Very nice looking bow.  I would leave the "drips".  If you shoot it enough, it will wear off, if not it will give you a reference point to know you are holding the bow correct.

Very nice wood choices, congrats on the new bow.

Crooked Stic

I am sure you paid a good price for that bow. I am sure Dan will fix the finish if you ask. I have seen some of his bows they are really nice.

Very pretty recurve...I like the dark woods on bows...

Beautiful Bow!

Dan and Jared are perfectionists. I am quite shocked that got to you like that. Crooked Stic is right Dan will fix it for you.

BTW I have 52" 2pc RC of his 47# @ 29"  I call it my pocket bow. Her real name is Sally.

The quest to improve is so focused on a few design aspects & compensating for hunter ineptness as to actually have reduced a bow & arrow's effectiveness. Nothing better demonstrates this than mech. BHs & speed fixated designs

Jacob, I don't see what you are referring to in your photos but I do know that if you contact Dan he will either have you send the bow to him or give you the option of a VERY easy fix that you can do yourself. That is some beautiful Macassar and about these little recurves all I can say after having shot a couple of them at Dan's one day for about an hour is WOW! The "long bow for a smooth draw" guys would just be amazed and I have had a hard time winning the arguement with myself that I just don't need one.

Bowmag

That's a looker for sure. Every time I shoot my Chinook recurve I'm amazed at how quiet it is. Enjoy your new one.

Take some 0000 steel wool and they will rub right off. Dan puts 8-10 coats of finish on so i don't think you would hurt it. Just rub lightly.

k9bowman

Nice looking! I'm sure he'll fix it if you want.
