Has anyone shot one of these longbows?

AdamH

Not me, but I just watched his Video on the "other" site, interesting ....

Wannabe1

I just watched all the videos on his site and they look to be good shooting bows. Can't comment on the quality or anything but, Washington has some good bowyers. I do like the looks of the riser on that cedar bow he made.

Pat, I'd be interested to know your thoughts once you get the bow. Plus, be sure to post up some pics!   :D

I'm surprised a bowyer would string a bow that way.

Wannabe1

Good looking bow but, I hope you use a stringer when stringing it up!   :D  I too am surprised that he recommended doing it that way.

Look forward to your shooting review. I really like the looks of that quilted maple.

Guess I am doing it wrong too. I String mine up that way for Speed and Ease, but Speed Aint Everything, Right??  :goldtooth:

Doing it that way twists the limbs, which isn't good.  It is just as fast or faster to push/pull with the lower limb against your instep, and doesn't twist the limbs if you do it correctly.  Or use a stringer.  I stopped using a stringer when the leather cup blew apart on me one time and basically dry fired the bow.

I hope this isn't too far off subject but could someone please explain the push pull method? Never could figger it out.

Thanks!

I like the way he has added finger grooves since I bought mine.
