Are you looking for a string or string material?

I used to own and operate HCBstrings.com and stopped a few years back.  I don't build strings anymore but I have both of the materials you mentioned.

Dang you! Based on your title I was expecting something tragic! I am glad you are well my friend!!!!! :biglaugh:

You are a more patient man than me. I tend to shoot the buck that gives me an opportunity. My son kills way bigger bucks than I do, because he has the ability to "pass" :biglaugh:

Obviously lots of variables here such as center shot, release, etc. but 1916's tune well out of my 42# longbow with 150 grain heads.  I draw 29, so pulling closer to 44#.  If you try 1916's, I would start with them full length.

PowWow / BCY-X?

Anybody know anywhere you can still get the old discontinued BCY-X material? Tried the X-99, but prefer the older stuff.

I had a string build that worked really well on my widows.

I shoot 1816's with 200 grain points out of my 35# longbow but my arrows and draw are shorter than yours. Therefore I would go with the 1916's or if you want a much heavier arrow 1820's would be my choice.

If you want a lighter arrow 2013's may work for you, too.

Either will probably work.  I'lean toward the 1916, cut to about 29 1/2 inches BOP for your 28 1/2-inch draw.  Zwickey eskimos (125 grain) or eskalites (110 grin) are good 2-blade heads.  There are lots of others out there.  Something in the 110 to 140-150 grain range will work.  Feather length is a personal preference.  I shot three 5-inch feathers for years.  I'm now shooting 4, four-inch feathers.

I have more than enough 175 grain heads for me and my neighbors. :biglaugh: I wanted to see if anyone thought it was too much for a light bow.  I'll have to get some lighter heads.
