Warmest Predator Fall Gray camo?
« on: November 20, 2023, 06:00:05 PM »
Hey all,

I'm a huge fan of Predator's Fall Gray camo & am going to need to replace my true cold weather gear here in the next year or so (20 degrees & under).

I currently have the original Sitka Fanatic set, and while it's been quite warm, it's insanely bulky + I can't stand the camo pattern. For what it's designed for it works pretty well, however after 8 some odd years of pretty heavy use it doesn't seem to be as warm as it once was.

In theory i'd just buy the new Fanatic set, but if i'm spending that kind of $ I want it in a pattern that I actually like, that blue and white berber fleece is awful looking to me.

So- i'm on the lookout for the company that has the warmest windproof clothing in Predator Fall Gray.

Thanks!

Check out Grey Wolf Woolens. They can make you a jacket to your specifications.  I'm looking at a jacket now. I have a custom vest from them and it's
warm!

I’ve been looking at their stuff, for folks who have tried it is it at least as warm as the original Sitka Fanatic set?

I do have the Kuiu Proximity set, and it’s been great to 30°, I suppose I could get some different mid layer insulation pieces to get me down to 0

You should look at the Fleece cost and pants from Predator As well as custom stuff.   I have been wearing the original Fleece from Predator for 13 years very warm

You worked to hard and paid a lot of money for that new bow. Why would you trust protecting it to anything less than Thunderbird Epoxy!!!

How long does it take to receive a fleece pants and jacket after you order it?

I have had my Predator Micro Fleece for several years and I like it. It's warm and not too bulky. I have worn it here in PA in our second season in temps. in the teens and single digits and have been warm. I do layer under it accordingly. Predator also has some new, warmer offerings if you check their website.

I ordered mine right from the Predator website and had it in a few days if I remember correctly.

The older I get the less I can tolerate being cold. I am very, very happy that we have so many choices in quality hunting gear as compared to when I was a kid in the 70's and 80's.

It was in the teens the day I took this pic and I had a merino base layer and a hoodie under and was warm.

No matter what you choose, get yourself a great fitting wool vest and sew in some 'kidney pockets' on inside back.... insert hand warmers.
