You're right don't tell him. I shot a doe Sunday morning and after butchered my deer I had tenderloins seasoned up and thrown into a cast iron pan. finished them off with some sauteed onions.

My neighbor butchers deer and I give him a hand in the evenings when I can. You would be surprised how many folks don't know about the inner loins and how tasty they are.

We've had a few requests for a burger grind on the entire deer, backstraps and all!   :knothead:

I have a coworker who always grinds his into burger. After catching enough crap from everyone about it, he finally saved some and brought it on a snowmobiling trip with us. I think that we've converted him now.

I had some inner loins from the old doe I shot the other day. I fixed them on the grill. They were as tough as a fan belt. She was an old long faced, gray doe. Not sure If that anything to do with it. I would have ground them If I had know. LOL
