Pat and RC are still "walking" and the deer season is not quite open down in the deep south so you guys will have to put up with a couple more of my "wading" trips   :biglaugh:

Went last night to the Ward Bayou frog pond, its a short trip from the house, about 8 to 9 miles.

Left the house at around 8:30 pm and was back home before 10,  just a short trip but had some success.

The Black and White pic's are to help the viewer, as the "Pitchfork" was very effective   :saywhat:

A frog hunt is time well spent !!!

For some reason, our frog popultion is way down.. I suspect that agg practices are somewhat to blame..

Nice mess of frogs !  Darn fine shooting too..

Been a long time since I had frog legs. Haven't seen the real big ones like I did when I was a kid. Don't know if its predation or pollution. Brings back fond memories. Thanks for sharing. TonyZ.

Wading with a bow and coming back with delicous frog legs - where I am from we call that a valuable skill set!

Mudd,

If you missed our brother's "How To" using concrete reinforcing "fence" to make a devilish looking "pitchfork" head to screw onto your arrow for "margin of error" on shooting frogs, you need to do some research!

John, as usual: Great post!  I think the B&W alleviates the carnage a bit and as a photography mentor of mine used to say, "anyone can make a color picture purty, but it takes an artist to make a statement in B&W!"

I think I read you loud and clear... still can't imagine there are any frogs left in your area!

You don't miss much, Roy, so i was a bit confuddled where the question come....but if those things don't look like a devil's own pitchfork... and they seem to do devilish things to Ribbits.

You must be getting to be a better shot, John, as you're always claiming the "other guys" got all the hits and you missed... half dozen for a couple hours slopping around in the muck seems like a decent outing!  :)
