silly broadhead question

I'm shooting GT trads 3555 with either 125 or 150 points, I think. I want to order some Magnus stingers for this season. My problem is the points are so used and old, the engraving stating the size is gone. Any other way to tell if I'm shooting 125 or 150? Lol, silly question I know..

You could weigh them. If you know someone who reloads ammo they probably have a grain scale. If not you can weigh them on a scale that measures in ounces or grams and make the conversion. 1gr=.002oz or 1gr=.064gm
These conversions are rounded to the nearest thousandth, but the should get you close enough to determine if the points are 125 or 150.
Good luck

Or just take a point that you know is either 125 or 150 grains, and tape the known and unknown points on the opposite ends of a 12" ruler. If the ruler balances in the middle, you know the points are approx the same weight. 25 grains is enough of a difference that the ruler would tip noticeably one way or the other if the points were 25 grains different in weight.

When you take the broad head apart to remove the bleeder and the blade the piece that holds everything together is the key, if its a 125 grain head that part will be aluminum if its a 15o the piece will be steel..

Might be a good time to think about picking up a digital scale that weighs in grains...they can be had for about 30 bucks...you will find it useful on many occasions
