Hey gang, just finished making a dozen of these babies and I am so happy. Someone here suggested 4" fletches and that's what I made.

Have a look:

Please teach me how to post photos here.

Thank you

Doods yo need a photobucket or similar type of account. Then select the small film icon and copy and paste a link in the box that opens.

Doods70

Thank you for this Jakeemt.

You can right click your FB pictures and instead of copying the URL click "copy image location."  Paste that into the film icon box and you can use FB for your hosting.  It's how I'm doing it at the moment, after my FTP went down unexpectedly.

I do like those arrows, though.  I'll probably be fletching mine with duct tape soon.

My my...its just the link. Where is this film icon box everyone is referring to?
hehe

Those points appear to be some vintage model, looks like they would be really rough on a target. I would go with modern points that are close to the same size as your shafts.

When you pull a point out of a foam target that is a lot bigger than the shaft it often pulls a plug of foam out. We ran an archery tournament for years. When skinny carbons first came out some the wheelie guys were still using large diameter points from their aluminum arrows. They could ruin an MacKenzie target in one tournament by pulling so many plugs of foam out when they pulled arrows.

I started inspecting their field tips when they signed up and wouldn't let them shoot if their tips didn't match the shaft diameter.

If you will put your image address in the image box....they will come up as pix instead of links.

Thank you! Definitely some improvements can be made to the point, but field points are not available here at the moment.

Thanks again

Yes, I made them. I used an aluminum tube (antenna) and used a tube cutter which gives it that taper. I pushed a wood screw into it and the head will not push through to the other side. I just cut the screw and grinded the tips. Then just insert the bamboo and I applied a generous amount of crazy glue.

Thank you

Hi, the fletching is duct tape. Many different colors available.

You will always appreciate the stuff you make yourself a lot more than what you can buy.  Well done.  The duct tape is a good idea.
