Glove works best for me...find what works best for you....neither is wrong or better.

One that one with fit you and your needs right and best.

Lurp Dog,
I have shot mostly gloves but just this spring started making my own ring tabs with an "o" ring and a Big bag of leather from Hobby Lobby for around $5.00... The O rings can be installed with a snap like on a jacket or another  machine screw and female reciever thing ma jig I found at Lowes in the area where you have to pull the drawers open to find those specialty hardware parts...I cann't remember the name of that thing but it has a shouder or sleeve and you can use it like a snap but with a screwdriver to install your "o" rings of choice...I love mine so far and you just trim to fit...

I played with a tab for around 2 years after shooting a glove and found some things I liked and didn't like. The best so far for me is a Big Shot glove.

I do like a glove, but I've been shooting them for the past year and I've gone through 3. Seems I'm either breaking one in or shooting a worn out glove. Cheap or expensive doesn't seem to matter.
I tried making my own tabs and that worked pretty well but I didn't have access to any leather that was slick enough on the string side. I got a better release however than with my stock of worn-out gloves.

Then I was watching one of the MBB series this past week and heard Mr. Jenkins say he went through the same thing with gloves before he switched to a tab. I just ordered a new Black Widow three-under tab from 3Rivers, I'm gonna try that and see if I can get any life out of one!
If you find yourself in a fair fight? Your tactics suck!

There are pros to both. You need to find which one works for you. I can shoot with either and perfer the tab. Give them both a chance and see what you can get.

Big Shot glove for me. I've used lesser gloves but they wore out quickly. My Big Shot however is still holding up after 4 years. I sometimes use a Fred Eichler tab which is very good but prefer the natural feel of a glove.

I started out shooting a glove but switched to shooting a cordovan tab.Find out which one you like the best and you can't go wrong.

I just switched to a Black Widow split finger tab after 15 years with a glove. The first day was kind of rough but after getting used to it my release feels cleaner. As long as it feels clean to you either one will work as well as the other.

American Leathers Bigshot glove. Tried a tab, but keep going back to my glove.

I started off shooting a glove, bought a Big Shot and really liked it. Just this week i received my Bateman cordovan split finger tab, and I am really enjoying it. It is not too thick but offers enough protection for a 55# bow, and is slick as a cats A@#. I believe my release is benefiting from the tab right now, I can really dig into my anchor points. BUT just like everything, your going to be getting individuals opinions that work for THEM, take the guidance and follow your own path. Shoot both and have fun!!

Bear Heart

Got a glove or two around but my got to is the black widow tab.  Keep 5 around and know where 2 are at any given time.

Once I tried one 8 or 10 years ago, I have never used anything else.

Glove works best for me. But it's what feels te best for you.

Caughtandhobble

I have tried both but I prefer the tab. I make my own tabs from quality leather and treat them to make them very slick and they work great for me and a few friends.
