I know John Fazio passed away and that Sovereign Archery was for sale. Did it ever sell? Is anyone making these bows now?

Thanks for your time!

Bjorn

To my knowledge Sovereign closed their doors and there was no attempt to sell.

I have his wife Venicia sending me pictures of his equipment and a price to buy it all. She is selling it all.

I am very surprised that another bowyer didn't buy the equipment and forms. His bows were some of the best performers ever.

Thanks for the updated information Gil!

That would great if someone bought the equipment and started making those bows. Always heard good things about the bows.

His wife has been trying to sell for awhile....i tried to convince a couple of my good Bowyer buddies to purchase the equipment! I hope someone can do them old forms and jigs justice someday. Them bows are special and so was fazio.

I have a bowyer in mind for them. That bowyer is interested.

I inquired about the gear....unfortunately, my opinion is that the price was waaaayyyyy optimistic, I guess you might say.  That's likely why it hasn't sold I imagine.

Venitia (his wife) sent me the information and drastically reduced the price AGAIN. If anyone wants the information PM me your email address and I will forward the information. All his forms and templates are for sale, plus more.

I hope someone finds a home for this equipment.

If I had any talent I would buy it, but I am a former mason and affectionately known as a "Wood Butcher". If I can't do it by pounding on it with a hammer, I can't do it!

Thanks

my Ballistick is hands down the best bow I have ever shot period.  Fast (no argument it's the fastest) smooth and balanced like you wouldn't believe.  I will always cherish the 2 hour conversation I had with John when I bought the bow.  He made me feel like we knew each other for 20 years.  My Ballistick is the ONLY bow I have NEVER considered selling.  If someone who knew what they were doing were to start building that design, I would put my deposit down the next day.

You are right Dustin.

It would be great to see these bows revived. I would hate to see them wind up unused in someone's basement. I would love to see a bowyer or aspiring bowyer with some woodworking talent get them.

What better way to start building bows than to get the forms, templates and equipment for one of the fastest and smoothest bows ever made.

I am starting to consider it myself, since I will retire in a few years. I have been a shooter of bows for 54 years but a builder for none. I don't think I do them justice.

Thanks

Once more to the top...Did anyone ever buy the forms and templates of Sovereign Archery?

It would be fun to see these bows made again!

John Fazio was one of the first bowyers I ever met.  He was manning a booth at the SCI convention in Reno. I had just a few minutes and stumbled into him.

Nice fellow and the bows were great looking. I wish I had known more about recurves then and I would have bought one.

the equipment should come back to Massachusetts (Wilmington, Mass) where it all started,  I was hoping the New England Bowyers would buy it up but think a lot of people just wasn't sure if the forms where still around
