Yo Bentpole, haven't heard from you for a while, ya back in witness protection or what?

Lamey

Vince/Rob  what are any actual differences in feel/shooting/performance between this and the original limb style??

MOHAWK BOWS SEEM TO BE TOP OF THE LINE RD LONGBOWS SO DOES THIS IMPROVE UPON THE MOHAWK THAT YOU SELL NOW AND REPLACE IT IN YOUR LINEUP JUST CURIOUS I HAVE NEVER SHOT ONE OF YOUR BOWS

Matt,
I have not shot one long enough for me to give you specific differences, I plan to squeeze one in for myself pretty soon. Rob has had one a little while and you could PM him.....and no he ain't on the payroll!

Arrow,
It will not replace my standard Mohawk longbow and I am not claiming any improvement over my standard bows, it will certainly feel and shoot a little differently. I only have two out there being shot by highly qualified long time longbow shooters and have gotten positive feedback.

Bentpole,
Just jokin buddy, it was good to hear from ya!   :)

Straight from the horses mouth...

I hear you Mitchell!     You hit the nail on the head there Bud!   :)  I heard Vince originally wanted to call this new bow "The Pepperoni  Stick" but Rob convinced him to change it!   :biglaugh:    :archer2:

Vince,  are you sure he's not on the payroll?  I pm'ed Rob about the Sparrowhawk and he sure made a strong endorsement of the new bow!    :D

Mohawkbows

LOL.....Rob, like most of us has strong opinions and his just run the same trail as mine. Not on the payroll but I couldn't ask for a better supporter!!!

Lamey

looking forward to trying one out,    i dont see how it can be any smoother or quieter etc. then my current Mohawk.   Of all the longbows ive tried out/owned the Mohawk definitely gets the nod on being "smooth".... hard to describe really.

Mudd

I'd say that you have at minimum 3 great cheer leaders in your camp Vince. One being Rob, another is Eric Sprick  and Bentpole.

I hope you know but just in case I will also say that I am a fan of your work and if the money and opportunity becomes available I'll gonna have to test drive a "Sparrowhawk" for myself.

Keep up the great work Vince, you're fan club continues to grow daily.

God bless,Mudd

Maybe Rob can post a review in the "Product Reviews" section?

Eric Sprick

Mudd, I'll be doing some more cheering pretty soon...I've got a Sparrowhawk in the works now   ;)

fwiw, and for the record, i'll paraphrase what i've testified to others about my thoughts on the sparrowhawk design ...

the narrower and thicker dimensions at the fades of the sparrowhawk does add a measure of "forgiving stability" that i noticed during testing, while the overall performance remains very much the same as any mohawk: smooth draw, clean release, good heavy arrow speeds, consistent accuracy.

not saying that everyone will notice/feel the improved stability - perhaps only those that have been in the longbow game for awhile, have shot *many* longbows of varied designs and configurations, know what to look for and can feel that non-subjective difference.

i bought the prototype sparrowhawk from vince.  no, you can't have it, go git yer own.   :D

Shinken

One of my favorite R/D bows was the Wilderness Pinnacle by Neil Russell and it was a narrow, deep core design.

I am thinkin' that I need to try one of these new Sparrowhawks in a LH model....

Shoot straight, Shinken

yes, many moons ago i had several liberties, great bows though not the same as mohawks and sparrowhawks.  it's impossible to analyze/compare bows from memory. suffice to say, all i shoot are mohawks ... er, sparrowhawks.  :)
