I made some arrows that I must say fly faster than any arrow I have shot(my own feather cut).   :D   But, like an idiot I made them a nice soft blue. They look great in the quiver but in the woods I think I am going to need to put something on them to help locate them in the dark when they go through a deer. Have any of you guys or galls tried the glow in the dark paint. They are wood arrows and I am not fond of wraps. Thanks Tim   :coffee:

I've fiddled with this stuff on nocks.  Might find something that works for you here.

Thanks Steve I have to check some of the fishing shops for that.

Hey Ipcjon2, go to Wally World in the automotive dept. and buy some red reflective tape.  I cut a strip and wrap it around the arrow right below the feathers.  It's cheap and works good.

excellent idea

2nd on the reflective tape.  Even a tiny 1/4" piece between the nock and fletch jumps right out when you swing your flashlight past it in the dark.  Been using it for years.
Glow paint is not a good choice IMO.  It does not work for squwat and if it did your arrows would be a ball of light in the tree for the best 30 minutes of hunting which could not be a good thing at all.

Yep, reflective tape between nock and fletch here too. Works like a charm.

Reflective tape works great.  But kudos to you for thinking out of the box.  I am working with the glow in the dark paint, so I can have a P&Y legal lighted nock...

I just tried the Glow Paint by Cir-Cut Archery,Don't bother with that brand it doesn't coat very well and when dry it doesn't adhere very well.I am going to get some tape. Thanks for all the help.   :campfire:

Tim-I found the paint worked better with a white primer under it.  Even did some black nocks like that.

I have used reflective tape behind the fletch and have also used rabbit zonkers tied in after seening a great build here on TG.

I like the fur tracers best.

I will give the primer a try Thanks Steve O.

Mudd, It's a powder blue and the deer may see it coming out the other side.
