I must admit I thought this Curt guy was full of himself when I first came to TradGang,But I have realized that he seems like the real deal. He must be independently wealthy because he is all over the map killing everything.Thats not luck, he's got some shooting/hunting talent.Although he lives on the other side of N.Y. from me on the Hudson river he does a good job of story telling with both pics and words, Thanks Guru.

Yeah, I want to see Biggie's dinner thread with LOTS of pictures!

What's Gene complaining about with that monster steak?  Is it too done for him?   :p

Or is he full???

K.S.TRAPPER

Full of himself, Hardly!!

Curts one of the best hunters,Tradbow shooters,Taxidermist and fathers I have ever met. You stick around here long enough and you will see.

I just wish I could get him to move down here to Kansas and spend some more time killing some of these big ol Kansas bucks and help me thin out the gobblers too.

One of the best people I have ever had the prevelage of sharing camp and my home with.

Was the Air Freshener placed there strategically or by accident?

Now THAT'S what I call a steak!!!!

OK...Looks like Marty's gonna get 'back to back' 300 post threads.....1st my Okeechobee Scouting thread....and now this one....which looks like we were scouting for as well!!!

Yes...Marty is a dang good cook.

Gotta tell ya a story about the last steak Marty cooked for me on the Scouting trip....

I had brought 2 really nice THICK fillets for the last night and I told Marty I'd skin and quarter his hog if he would do the honors with the fillets.  He thought he was rubbing them with garlic salt but instead unknowingly he used raw cane sugar.

Well, I made the comment that the 'new' basting sauce that was recommended to me was good, and that it had a little sweet kick to it.

Marty later went to the counter to tidy up, and he said 'NO WONDER'!!!!

But I gotta tell ya.....it was good no joke.  Might have to get him to treat me and Ken to that cane rub again on the St Judes Hunt.....I'll bring the fillets if he will.      :D       :biglaugh:

Do you guys forget ANYTHING on a hunt? Jeez Terry, if I was a good cook I woulda kept my mouth shut!! I think that's how good recipe's must happen-by mistake. Maybe this should be on Joebuck's "too fat to hunt thread". He just wants company in his misery.

BadKarma

OOOPPSSS!!!  Thats too funny!!!!

And still turned out good, thats the mark of a true camp chef!!!

Lets see cooking stories at Martys.......

Oh yeah, Joe Buckl brought Boston Butt one year and said it would be the best we ever had. Now Marty and I have eaten BB around the world, literally, and that was a big boast to back up.

Joey got up about 3 am and started cooking those babies. We smelled them all day anytime we came by camp for something. I was sitting in my stand a mile from camp swearing to myself that I could smell em cooking. My shirt was soaked from drool..

Well, long story short, Joeys timex must have been off cause he served us EXTREMELY well done Boston Butt....more like jerky than beef.

Whatya expect Biggie- A guy from Mississippi(had to sing that little song to type that!) trying to cook something from Boston- didn't make sense anyway.
