bottom limb tip protectors

absolutely!!!!!! depends on limb tip size, whether i go with leather or rubber.

I have the rubber ones on a couple of my bows. I was told to make sure I remove it after hunting in the rain to make sure it gets dried out. If not, the constant moisture could damage the bow tip.

I like the plastic Saunders the string is sitting over the protector so it does not have to stretch the protector but tip is still protected.Kip

I'm not going to lie. My bottom limb has a few scratches on the fiberglass at the tips but I didn't think it mattered.

Is it just for aesthetics? I didn't think they could really get scratched enough to make damage.

I use the rubber ones from 3 rivers.  I feel like I can use my bow as a walking stick too, because it can bounce off of rocks really easy.

I bought a leather one and used it as a pattern. Make my own now. I only use them on longbows, to protect the tips. I use the push-pull method of stringing, and the lower tip can get beat up.

Depends on the bow.  For my fat tipped recurve, I use the Saunders and it works well.

I use rubber covers from ISE electrodes. I get them from work once we use the electrode. They fit perfectly, shape and all.

Swamp, come up here in the rocks and ya will see! just kiddin, but I always use one, protects and keeps the bottom string in the groove while stringin it. I even put one on my upper limb to protect it as well and to have a spare if I lose the bottom one. On longbows I use the cheapo ones from 3 rivers and trim the length a little, on recirves i use the one that black widow sells, its a tight fit slip on.

I use the Saunders ones too. They are the only one I found which didn't eventually get flung off by the string when I come to full draw.

I left mine on in the past and noticed it wearing off the tip finished of my widow.  I superglued up the loss, but am now a bit more cautious.

I think I will use the rubber one but remove it often when not needed.

One thing I do with my rubber ones it I cut away everything that I don't need...I just feel that it must take away from performance...

I had one string maker tell me fine dirt can get underneath it and work itself into the loop and eventually cause the string to fail. I use one but am always careful to remove it and brush off any dirt that made it's way to the string.

Leather is what I have, but stick on felt or duct tape works great, too!  If I was stand hunting only, not as much of a problem.  Still hunting piggies, gets used for everything from checking for snakes on the backside of a log to a walking stick to bino rest to camera rest to "I'm tired and gonna lean on this here stick for a spell!"  Protector is nice for this use.

Never used one, then again, I never had a high dollar bow to protect, just my selfbows.
