Congrats on the 'lope and also if ya got a lesson from Rod then ya can't help but shoot a little better
I made the switch about 2 years ago and never looked back. I am more consistant and have more confidence in my shooting now than ever before.

Congrats Denny looking forward to hunt stories to come!!
Two years ago I got a heck of a sore middle finger shooting a little two short of bow. With to much finger pinch. Could not shoot split finger because of the pain. Switched over to 3 under with out the pain and never looked back.
Headed to Iron Bulls in a week or less, I think he has your hair, would ya like me to comb it for ya :D

Thanks everyone! I was hunting in MT with Pete and his son Tanner. Getting to meet and spend time with them was the best part of the trip.
I caught a terrible bug on the way there and wasn't my normal fun-loving self though
The great thing about Rod's coaching is that he doesn't make you copy everything he does. He makes you find your own answers on the blank bale. I'm anchoring with the C (formed by my thumb and pointer finger) behind my jaw. I'm using a BW 3-under tab. I'm shooting my standard tiller BW longbow. I raised the nocking point 1/8" when retuning. I didn't notice any difference in extra bow noise. My arrow end/tip is on a deer sized target from 0 to 35 yards.
Bryan, LOL I hope it just a light shower. Don't forget the extra heavy duty bags.

Denny must have been pretty confident with his choice of methods...Looks like he only took one arrow with him
Or is there more to this story????
Nice Loper, Trap

Nice speed goat Denny. I recently switched to a tab and it made a big difference. May have to look into that 3 under thing one day. Thanks for sharing your hero picture.

Denny,
I was wondering if you would share more of your thoughts as to what you gained etc....Easier to get your eye in the sight picture or something like that. I am playing with three under myself and it may help others as well if you could be so kind.I know your shooting was nothing to sneeze at before. Just curious.
thanks,
Ron

I switched to three under when I realized that my inexpensive bow stacks bad and pinches worse. My arrows were all over the place with a one-over grip, and though it was awkward at first, I immediately saw my groups improve.
For me, it was getting out of the way of the arrow, and then also sighting down the arrow more easily than with a one-over grip. Of course, that means I can't shoot as far, which is way better for me than false confidence.

Are you sure that is not Elvis admiring that beauty of a buck?
Just got back from Wyoming and am glad to see the Montana expedition was a great success! I am happy to say you can stay comfortable when it is 95F if you wear your Sitka Gear...
A couple of morning shots before it warmed up:
Shot the buck from a windmill blind at about 10 yards and once he realized the arrow went thru him, he sprinted about 75 yards before he went a'tumbling. I hit the Snuffer SS a few licks on the steel and sent the same arrow/broadhead thru the doe the next morning from a Double Bull. She never knew what hit her; she walked maybe 10 steps and tipped over!
