Hello,

My name is Ted and I've just joined Trad Gang.  I was a strong traditional archer in my teens  and moved away from the sport as college, work and family took over.  Going to sea for thirty years didn't help the situation either.   Friends reintroduced me to archery within the past three years and I became hooked again.

I started off with the Bear Cub that I had purchased when I was 12.  I continued  with recurves, inclusive of sights, scopes, releases... switched to compounds and found them  too easy.  I'm now on the road to recovery!

Traditional all the way.

Ted, glad to have you join us! If you will read the reports here( a little each day) it will help you understand what it means to shoot tradional. This is a great gang and ask any question no matter what it is. I will check with you in a couple of years to see what you think. This stuff is what our world is all about. Ken

Welcome to the Gang, Ted!  And welcome home to the land and to the land of stickbows.

I went on a cruise some years back and stood on the stern watching Aruba disappear on the horizon.  The sea can tug at you for sure.

Welcome Ted,
I'm new here myself but the folks on this site will make you feel at home real quick and if you haven't found out already the information that can be gleaned from the forums and the generosity of the members is unbelievable!

It's better to shoot for the moon and hit the fence post than to shoot for the fence post and hit the ground!
