Pic of normal longbow in front of this one. You can see how flat the 3-piece limbs are

You will be able to use a thicker stack and have better vertical stability with that flat spot, and using a tip wedge will shorten the working section. Use long lean butt wedges, an .003 FT with a straight taper narrow width profile. It's got good potential .

It does have about a 5" tip wedge. We will see

I will be interesting your thoughts of the two different limb designs once yo7 have tested it and run it through the paces.  Have you set up a shooting machine and a tiller tree where you can do DFC charts?

Well it's bending pretty good but only 28#. Obviously a lot near wedge

Time to put those babies on an adjustable riser and experiment with limb pad angles and string lengths.

She's coming off the fades way too hard in that photo and the string angle at full draw is too tight.

Longer wedges or power lams can be used to push that working portion out further on the limbs. That's what you need to get that string angle to open up at longer draw lengths.

What taper rate are you using?     Kirk

Take a look at the way these limbs are bending in this album. The limb pad angle is about 12 degrees on this hybrid long bow. This 60" bow will draw to 33" without stacking .

You can definitely see where your power lams or fades stop. I was using 002 taper but once again I accidentally put them in reversed hence the bend in the fades. It was more an experiment to see what my poundage would be with the limb pad and design. It would have been a .200 stack at the end of the fades if I'd have put the tapers in correctly. I figure the next limbs I will do .210 stack at the fades, put the tapers in correctly and hopefully get close to 45#. Keep in mid this is s 53" bow with a 14" riser.

ok... i get it... Good luck.
