Hand is starting to feel good enough to shoot.......a little.

Great bow Travis! Shoots well and is quite in my hand, really like the grip!
Stacks just a little at my draw, but very manageable.

Super Happy
Thanks again.

Glad you like it Jon. Your draw length is about the limit for it. We have the same draw length, I was always gonna make myself a 66 inch just to see how it felt. Glad your healing up.

Jon Lipovac

Nice.
What do run for arrows? I've been buying Black Eagle and cutting them down as needed to tune since they come 34"

I shoot full length gold tips. The 400s fly good with 200 grains up front when Im shooting 50 to 55 pounds.

Crooked Stic

#505
That looks good on you Jon. Appears to be bending so your getting the most out of it.
High on Archery.

UPDATE: Bow is clear coated and just about ready for send off.  One more little addition and she will be ready to get some pictures and box up.

Current standings!

7/9 delivered
2/9 in work

Looks like we have one that is just about ready to go out.  I will start engaging with our last builders on an individual level as our official build period draws to a close. Let's get this finished up, gents!

My plan is to ship Monday so it doesnt immediately get lost in the weekend slump.  Pics before that.

I am sorry for not posting as I should.  My life has been nuts at work and my energy level for building has been low.  That said, I am making progress.  The bow is partially tillered and seems to be viable.  I don't know if I will finish on time but I will try.  If not, I will take advantage of the grace period.  Thanks for your patience.

I have pics to prove I havent been lying this whole time!  I'm  not sure why but it took me a while to get happy with this bow but I really love it now.  Took a aesthetic risk here and used white fiberglass i think it suits this bow and the swap but ill never do that again. This is the first bow that I've ever been proud of my rattle can finish so thats something.

I also added something new to me. A newer style elevated rest of monofilament fishing line. Calling it the Wengerd rest as ive seen some others do as Wengerd Archery is where i learned the technique.  Its easily removed by hand but not by an arrow and it can be taken off to be shot from the shelf with only an adjustment to nock point on the string.

You may have mentioned it earlier, what's the black I-beam made of?

dbeaver

Bow is packed up with an extra string and a few extra wengerd rests.  Will be in the mail tomorrow morning and in doing so will meet the deadline by a hair.  What a great year seeing really beautiful bows coming out from everyone.  Happy to participate and thanks Chris for organizing such a fun event i always look forward too.

John Scifres

I should get this bow finished up this weekend.  Tillering today and shooting and finish tomorrow.  I'll post pics of the progress in a bit.  Appreciate the patience.

1st pic pulling target weight -5# at 23".

Just got her to target weight at 27".  Getting really close.  A little work in the outer thirds and I'll be close to weight.  I'll clean her up and shoot her a bit and then final tiller.

After a bit more tillering, the ends are looking better.  Shot it about 30 times and it is fairly smooth without any tuning and mismatched arrows.  I'm a few pounds over weight to let it settle in after tillering but got it to full draw and no catastrophes.  I like it.

A bit of follow but still pretty good.
