.050 to nothing in 8" , 30" lams and i cut about 1.5" off the limb tip. Active tip wedge hits the base of the curl at about 6"- 6.5"

Last night I tried out a new to me braid on a handle wrap. I think I'm gonna have to use it more often it wasn't too bad to do (as long as you don't miss a hole and have to undo half of it). Also had to recut a piece of ostrich for the wrap, tried first with just the ostrich, but it was too thin and stretched too bad. So backed it with 2oz veg tan. Solved the problem but would've made the original piece too short to wrap around all the way. So cut a new one about 5/8" wider. it eats a good amount of lace. About 6' will cover the braid itself and another 2' for the end wraps. My estimate last night couldn't have been any tighter. By the time I did the wrap with the short left over tag, I had about 1/2" of tag left after tying off to trim.

Yuo, either scrolling Facebook and instagram I'll see a neat one or letting YouTube cycle through leather craft videos. Never know what you'll land on that can be used elsewhere. This braid is common on saddle skirts.
