Forged up a Keeslar Flared Finger Guard knife 9 inches OAL.  Do I keep the belly in the blade or grind it straight?

what did he do that was all that he did?

I'm in between :biglaugh:
I like knives that are close to straight, but have just a little belly.

Get both!!  :goldtooth: Leave some belly on it but maybe not quite as much as you have now.

Thanks for all your input on the Keeslar Flare knife...here's what I decided to do.  No grinding just re-shaped with the forge and hammers.  Then the first grind to get it ready to quench and temper.  If I keep it, I'll cut the handle shorter, so I won't drill any pin holes for the handle yet.  Handle will either be Sheep Horn or Curly Maple.

Seems I'm a little late to throw my .02 cents in but this blade you forged fought my eye because it was different. I think you should keep the belly in the blade and try it. I've seen you forge lots of straight blades. I wondered how this one would perform. Either way thanks for sharing your work and I know very well you didn't ask but I always vote for sheep horn on the handle lol  :bigsmyl:
Jeff I'm no leather Smith but when your done if you want a working mans sheath for that beautiful blade I'm happy to make you one just to spend some time with the knife... I promise I'll mail it back!  :campfire:
